    Aimee Pritchett - The Specialist Mental Health Nurse

     

    Aimee Pritchett is a Specialist Mental Health Nurse & Independent Prescriber specilising in Neurodevelopmental Conditions and co-existing mental health needs.

    Aimee has been a qualified Mental Health Nurse for over 9 years.

     

    Since qualifying Aimee has worked specifically with children, adolescents and families.

     

    She has a breadth of experience across many settings including 2 years as an Acute Inpatient Nurse in a Children & Adolescent Mental Health Hospital. Aimee progressed into the role of the Deliberate Self Harm and Crisis Lead in CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services) in a specialist community team for 3 years. This is where she undertook training and practiced as a Dialectical Behavioural Therapist.

     

    Aimee discovered her keen interest & specialist field of Neurodevelopmental Conditions in 2019. Aimee has been working with children & adolescents within CAMHS locally for over 4 years.

     

    Aimee remains a proud & dedicated team member of a CAMHS NHS service today.

     

    With 4 years experience in assessment, diagnosis and treatment in this specific area, Aimee is a fully qualfied and insured nurse with a compassionate focus on supporting, understanding and treatment of Neurodevelopmental Conditions and coexisting mental health needs.

    “Finding my niche working with young people and families who are neurodiverse has been the most rewarding and eye-opening role within my career so far. I feel a great sense of pride in the work I carry out with young people and families who have Autism & ADHD”.

     

     

    Aimee has since specialised further, undertaking a masters course and qualifying as an Independent and Supplementary Prescriber in 2021.

    “Being able to work with medicine alongside a comprehensive assessment, formulation & therapeutic interventions has been a long standing dream of mine. I now feel ready to transfer my professional skills, knowledge & vast experience from my roles within our National Health Service to my own independent practice”.

    Aimee’s passion to help others understand themselves has grown over many years. The assessment & potential diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions can bring great clarity, empathy & understanding to an individual, their family & the networks surrounding them”.

     

    Aimee works to maintain the highest of clinical and ethical standards in her practice as a nurse. In line with the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) Aimee's assessment, diagnosis and interventions are NICE compliant.

    Where to find us

    The Specialist Mental Health Nurse is based in Buckinghamshire. We have a purpose built therapeutic space to undertake assessments and interventions.

     

    Our consultation room is in Flackwell Heath, Buckinghamshire.

     

    We feel it is important for you to see and meet your dedicated nurse, that's why the majority of initial assessments will be completed face-to-face with the option of follow-up sessions being undertaken remotely.
